The Map View in AlphaX Cloud provides a geographical interface to monitor devices like cameras and sensors. Users can click on device icons to view detailed panels displaying status, alerts, data channels, dashboards, and configuration links. It simplifies monitoring by offering real-time information, alarm insights, and quick access to advanced settings through an interactive map.
Step 1
Log in to your AlphaX Cloud account.
Step 2
Locate the left-hand sidebar under the Workspace section.
Step 3
Click on Map to open the Map View interface.
Result
The map will display device icons (e.g., cameras, sensors) at their respective locations.
Step 1
Use the Filter/Search Bar at the top of the Map View to enter the camera or sensor name (e.g., scc-cam20).
Step 2
Once the name is entered, the map will automatically navigate to the respective camera or sensor's location.
Step 3
The camera name will be highlighted in yellow, and its location will appear as a green dot on the map.
Step 4
Click on the camera icon or its name tag displayed on the map.
Result
A detailed information panel for the selected camera or sensor will open on the right-hand side.
Device Name and Status
- Displays the name of the device (e.g., Cribb St - Landsborough). - Status tags (e.g., Active, Seed Studios, Ethernet) indicate operational details.
Device Description
Provides a summary of the device’s purpose (e.g., monitoring traffic and pedestrians). Includes alerts or connectivity issues, if any.
Alerts
Shows the number of active alarms (e.g., "3 Alarms (1 Alerted)"). Clicking this reveals details about the alarms.
Data (Channels)
Displays the number of data channels being monitored (e.g., "8 Channels").
Dashboard
Links to a dedicated dashboard for advanced analysis (e.g., Jetson GPU / GPU Status).
URLs
Provides links for related configurations, such as: - Object Detection Config for settings. - Object Pathing Interface for analysing movement.
Expand More Information
Expandable sections (using the +
icon) to view more details, such as historical logs or reports.
Close the Panel
Click the X icon at the top-right corner to close the details panel.
Explore Other Devices
Click on other device icons on the map to view their details.
1. Pan Across the Map
Enables users to drag the map in any direction to explore different areas.
- Click and hold the Hand Icon or click and drag anywhere on the map. - Move your mouse (or finger) left, right, up, or down.
2. Zoom In and Out
Lets users zoom in and out for a closer or broader view of the map.
- Use the Mouse Scroll Wheel: Scroll upward to zoom in or downward to zoom out. - Use Pinch Gesture (touch devices): Pinch inward to zoom out or expand fingers to zoom in. - Alternatively, use the on-screen Zoom In (+) and Zoom Out (-) buttons.
3. Reset Map Position
Restores the map to its default centred view or zoom level (depending on settings).
- Double-click anywhere on the map to re centre the view around that specific point. - If available, use the Reset Button in the map interface.
4. Access Points of Interest
Facilitates navigation to devices or areas by interacting with map icons and markers.
- Use the Hand Icon to click on device locations (e.g., cameras, sensors). - The device's description panel or settings will appear for further interaction.
Map View
Displays devices on a geographic map. Helps users visualize deployment and monitor device locations and status.
Table View
Displays devices in a tabular format for detailed comparison and large-scale analysis. Navigating to the table provides structured data.
Filter
Allows users to search for a specific device by entering its name or ID.
Result
- The map automatically zooms to the device location. - The device name is highlighted in yellow. - The device location is marked with a green dot.
When a user selects a device on the map, a Device Description Window opens, displaying key information.
Device Name
Displayed as the title of the window.
Main Power Type
Shows the power supply type used by the device (e.g., mains or battery).
Pin Feature
Allows users to pin the current or multiple device description windows for easy reference.
Close Option
Closes the description window.
Site Name
Indicates the deployment site of the device.
Device Status
Displays the current operational state (e.g., Active or Offline).
Manufacturer
Shows the manufacturer of the device (e.g., Seeed Studios).
Network Type
Indicates the type of network connection used (e.g., Ethernet).
Device Description
A brief summary of the device’s purpose and operations.
Number of Alarms
Displays the total count of alarms triggered for the device.
Alerted Count
Displays the number of alerts in red, highlighting critical issues.
Expandable Alarm Details
Clicking to expand reveals: - Alarm Names (e.g., "High Temperature Alert"). - Status (e.g., Normal or Alerted).
Number of Channels
Displays the total number of data channels monitored by the device (e.g., "Data (8 Channels)").
Expandable Channel Details
Expanding reveals: - Channel Name (e.g., "Cars - Northbound"). - Graph or Chart: Displays trends. - Three Options for Analysis:
AI (AlphaX Intelligence)
Opens a panel with five user roles for data insights: 1. Community 2. Data Scientist 3. Engineer 4. Executive 5. Planner. Users can export insights as PDF or send them via Email.
Analysis
Navigates to a detailed analysis page for in-depth exploration of the selected channel.
Table
Navigates to a table-based analysis view, showing structured data for the channel.
Dashboard Name
Displays the name of the dashboard related to the device.
Dashboard Link
A clickable link that navigates users to the dashboard for viewing key performance indicators.
Expandable Dashboard Details
Expanding reveals additional dashboards and their respective links.
Number of URLs
Displays the total count of related URLs (e.g., configuration or interface links).
Expandable URL Details
Expanding reveals: 1. Object Detection Configuration: A link to configure object detection settings. 2. Object Pathing Interface: A link to view object pathing data.
Real-Time Monitoring: Provides geographic visualization of devices and their status.
Efficient Filtering: Users can easily find devices by name or ID and navigate directly to their location.
Device Insights: Offers comprehensive device details, including operational status, alarms, and data channels.
Advanced Analysis: Supports AI-based insights, analysis pages, and dashboards for in-depth exploration.
Customization: Allows users to pin multiple device descriptions for simultaneous monitoring.
