Calculations

The AlphaX Calculations Module generates new data using sensor triggers, time-based triggers, and events. It features list, manage views, and create, edit, delete options.

Calculations Module Overview

The Calculations Module in AlphaX Cloud is a powerful tool designed to enable users to generate new data by combining existing sensor readings, fixed values, and arithmetic operations. This module is integral for users who need to derive additional insights from their IoT and operational data, supporting a wide range of applications from predictive maintenance to energy management.

Main Features

  1. Triggers by Sensor: This feature allows users to initiate calculations based on real-time data from connected sensors. Users can configure the system to perform calculations whenever a specific sensor reading is received, making it ideal for dynamic environments where immediate data processing is required.

  2. Triggers by Time: Users can schedule calculations to run at predetermined intervals or specific times. This is useful for periodic data analysis or for generating daily, weekly, or monthly reports. The timing of these triggers can be customized to fit operational requirements.

  3. Triggers by Event: This feature enables calculations to be triggered by specific events within the system, such as a change in the state of a device or an alert being raised. Event-based triggers are essential for reactive systems where actions are needed in response to specific conditions.

Module Components

  • List View: The List View provides users with an overview of all existing calculations. It displays key information such as calculation names, trigger types, and last execution times. This view allows users to quickly monitor and manage their calculations.

  • Manage View: The Manage View is where users can delve into the details of individual calculations. It offers an interface to review, activate, deactivate, or clone existing calculations, providing full control over the calculation processes.

  • Create, Edit, and Delete Modals

    • Create Modal: This modal guides users through the process of setting up new calculations. Users can select sensors, define fixed values, and choose arithmetic operations, along with configuring the trigger type.

    • Edit Modal: The Edit Modal allows users to modify existing calculations, whether adjusting parameters, changing trigger conditions, or updating the arithmetic logic.

    • Delete Modal: This modal is used to remove unwanted calculations from the system. It includes confirmation steps to prevent accidental deletion.

The Calculations Module is designed to be user-friendly while offering the flexibility and precision required for complex data analysis. By leveraging the triggers and arithmetic capabilities, users can create tailored calculations that enhance the operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making processes within the AlphaX Cloud environment.
