The "Edit Asset Class" window enables users to update existing asset class details, including the associated site, name, and badge colour. It features a user-friendly layout with mandatory field validation to ensure accurate inputs. Users can save changes with the Save button or discard them using the Cancel button or the top-right close icon.
Page Layout
The view is presented as a modal window (pop-up) with the title "Edit Asset Class".
Users can either save the updated changes or cancel the operation using buttons located at the bottom.
Site
Dropdown Menu
Displays the current site associated with the asset class. Allows users to select a different site if needed.
Name
Text Input
Shows the current name of the asset class. Users can edit it to reflect updates or corrections.
Badge Colour
Colour Picker
Displays the current badge colour in HEX format (e.g., #00bd13
). Clicking opens a colour picker for selection.
Cancel Button
Action Button
Discards any unsaved changes and closes the modal window.
Save Button
Action Button
Saves the updated details of the asset class if all mandatory fields are completed properly.
Mandatory Fields
All fields (Site, Name, Badge Colour) must be completed before the user can save the changes.
Live Updates
Changes are not applied until the user clicks the Save button.
Cancel Functionality
Unsaved edits are discarded when the user clicks Cancel or closes the modal.
Edit Site
Update the site associated with the asset class for proper categorization.
Edit Name
Correct or rename the asset class for clarity or relevance.
Edit Badge Colour
Change the badge colour for better visual identification or alignment with updated requirements.
