The Device Manage View in AlphaX enables users to comprehensively manage device settings, including general information, network and power details, and data channels. Users can configure triggers, review signal data, update location, and link dashboards. Additional sections cover manufacturer, purchasing, and service information, with options to upload documents, add notes, and view activity logs for efficient device management.
Service
Logs a service entry for the device.
Report
Creates a report of offline events from the device.
Logs
Opens the device’s activity logs.
When users click the "Service" button, a new window titled "Log Service" opens. This interface allows users to log and document service activities for a device. Below is a detailed explanation of its layout and features.
1. Select Service Date
A date selector field with a calendar icon to pick the date of the service.
2. Serviced By*
A dropdown menu to choose the person or team who performed the service.
A rich text editor for adding notes about the service. It includes the following formatting and editing options,
1. Style
Dropdown to apply predefined text styles (e.g., Heading, Normal Text).
2. Bold
Makes selected text bold.
3. Underline
Underlines the selected text.
4. Remove Font Style
Clears any applied font styles.
5. Font Family
Allows selecting a font type for the text.
6.1 Recent Colour
Sets the text colour to recently used colours.
6.2 More Colour
Opens a colour picker to apply a custom text colour.
7. Unordered List
Creates a bulleted list.
8. Ordered List
Creates a numbered list.
9. Paragraph
Adjusts text alignment and indentation.
10. Table
Inserts a table into the notes.
11. Link
Adds a hyperlink.
12. Picture
Allows inserting an image into the notes.
13. Video
Embeds a video link or file.
14. Full Screen
Expands the editor to full-screen mode for easier note editing.
15. Code View
Switches to HTML code view for advanced formatting.
16. Help
Displays a list of keyboard shortcuts for efficient editing.
Checkbox: "Schedule Next Service"
When selected, it enables scheduling a follow-up service for the device.
This section provides essential details about the device, including its name, type, status, and assigned entity.
Device Image
Allows drag-and-drop or selecting an image to represent the device visually.
Device Name*
Mandatory field specifying the device’s name.
Device Function
Describes the device’s function or purpose.
Entity*
Mandatory field associating the device with a specific entity.
Device Tag
Unique tag or identifier for the device.
Type
Defines the device type (e.g., sensor, gateway).
Device Status
Displays whether the device is Active or Deactivated.
Last Data
Shows when data was last received from the device (e.g., "8 hours ago").
The Cancel button allows users to exit the "Log Service" window without saving any of the entered details.
The Create button saves the service log with all the entered information and closes the window.
These buttons provide users with the flexibility to either,
Confirm and save their changes, or
Discard changes and exit the window.

"Generate Device Offline Log" - Indicates the purpose of the window: to generate offline logs for devices.
Fields and Options
Data Time Range*
Dropdown field to select the desired time range for the offline log (e.g., "Last 24 Hours").
Calendar Widget
Opens when clicking the dropdown, allowing users to pick a custom date and time range.
Calendar Widget (Inside the Dropdown)
Cancel Button
Exits the calendar widget without making any changes to the selected date/time range.
Apply Button
Confirms the selected date/time range and applies it to the Data Time Range field.
Bottom Action Buttons
Cancel
Exits the "Generate Device Offline Log" window without saving or generating the log.
Generate Log
Processes the selected Data Time Range and generates the offline log for the device.
Allows the user to view system logs related to the device. Clicking this button navigates to the System Logs page.
System Logs Page
The System Logs page is organized into different log categories and provides detailed, structured information for analysing the device's activity.
Log Categories
System Log
Tracks general system events, such as device actions, errors, and warnings.
Email Message Log
Shows details of emails triggered by the device or system (e.g., alert notifications).
SMS Message Log
Logs SMS messages sent via the system, if applicable.
API Transaction Log
Provides details about API calls made to or from the device, including responses and errors.
Log Table Structure
The logs are displayed in a table format with the following columns:
Timestamp
The exact date and time when the event occurred.
User
Identifies the user or system entity associated with the log entry (e.g., admin, service agent).
Description
A brief description of the event or action logged (e.g., "Device status updated").
IP Address
The IP address of the device or user that triggered the event.
Trans ID
A unique transaction ID associated with the specific log event for tracking purposes.
Configures the device’s network-related settings, including connection type, heartbeat intervals, and gateway details.
Network*
Dropdown to select the network type for the device (e.g., "Private LoRaWAN").
Keep Alive*
Time interval (in seconds) for sending device heartbeats (e.g., "900").
Backhaul
Dropdown to choose the backhaul method (e.g., "LAN/Ethernet").
Network ID*
Unique network identifier assigned to the device.
Gateway IP
IP address of the device's gateway (editable).
Filter
Allows filtering channels based on specific criteria.
Add Channel
Adds a new channel for receiving and displaying data.
Maximize/Minimize
Expands or collapses the channel display area.
Channel
Number or name assigned to the data channel.
Description
Description of what the channel represents (e.g., temperature, humidity).
Latest Data
Displays the most recent data received from the channel.
Last Seen
Timestamp of the last data received from the channel.
Last 50 Readings
Shows a graph or data points of the last 50 readings for quick analysis.
Hide Data
Checkbox to hide or show specific data in the channel.

Buttons for channel management: AI Analysis, Analyze Data Point, Table Analysis, Edit, Delete.
Pagination
Navigation buttons to browse through multiple channels.
Analysis
Provides analysis of power source data.
Table
Displays power source data in a table format for review.

Selects the power source type (e.g., Battery, Main, Solar, POE).
Signal Data
Displays the signal strength and details associated with the device, if available.
